Bougainvillea cultivation is best when the plant gets plenty of sun, well-drained soil, and only moderate watering. It flowers more when slightly stressed, so avoid overwatering and prune regularly after blooming.

- Plant in soil that drains well; waterlogging can reduce growth and flowering.
