വീട്ടാവശ്യത്തിനുള്ള പുതിന എങ്ങിനെ വീട്ടിൽ വളർത്തിയെടുക്കാം എന്നാണ് ഇവിടെ വിശദമാക്കുന്നത്. ഒരു വലിയ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ബോട്ടിൽ എടുത്ത് ആദ്യം അതിന്റെ നടു ഭാഗം രണ്ട് കഷ്ണങ്ങളാക്കി മുറിക്കുക. അതിനുശേഷം അടപ്പ് വരുന്ന ഭാഗമെടുത്ത് ഒരു മെഴുകുതിരിയിൽ പപ്പടക്കോൽ ചൂടാക്കി ചെറിയ ഓട്ടകൾ ഇട്ടു കൊടുക്കുക. പപ്പടക്കോൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് മുറിച്ചെടുത്ത ബോട്ടിലിന്റെ രണ്ട് വശങ്ങളിലും താഴെയും ഓരോ ഹോളുകൾ കൂടി ഇട്ട് നൽകണം.

ശേഷം കട്ടിയുള്ള ഒരു തുണി കഷ്ണം എടുത്ത് അതിന്റെ നടുക്ക് ചെറിയ ഒരു കെട്ട് കൂടി ഇട്ട് കൊടുക്കണം. അത് ഓട്ട ഇട്ട ഭാഗത്ത് കൂടി താഴേക്ക് വലിച്ചു എടുക്കണം. അതിലേക്ക് നിറക്കേണ്ടത് കരിയില പൊടിച്ചെടുത്തതാണ്. കുപ്പിയുടെ മുക്കാൽ ഭാഗം വരെ ഈ ഒരു പൊടി നിറച്ചു കൊടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. അതിനുശേഷം മുറിച്ചു വെച്ച കുപ്പിയുടെ മറ്റേ ഭാഗത്ത് വെള്ളം നിറച്ചു കൊടുക്കുക. കരിയില ഇട്ട് ഭാഗത്ത് മൂന്നോ നാലോ പുതിന തണ്ടുകൾ വച്ചു പിടിപ്പിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.
