ശേഷം കുറച്ച് പച്ച ചാണകം എടുത്ത് മുറിച്ച് മാറ്റിയ ലെഗ്ഗിങ്സിന്റെ അകത്ത് ആയി നിറച്ച് കൊടുക്കണം. ഒട്ടും പുറത്തേക്ക് പോകാത്ത രീതിയിൽ വേണം ചാണകം നിറക്കാൻ. പിന്നീട് പ്ലാവിന്റെ എവിടെയാണോ ചക്ക കായ്‌ക്കേണ്ടത് അതിന് ചുറ്റും ചാണകം നിറച്ച തുണി കെട്ടി വക്കുക. കാറ്റോ മഴയോ ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ തുണി വീണു പോകാതെ ഇരിക്കാനായി അതിന് മുകളിൽ ചരട് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നല്ല പോലെ കെട്ടി കൊടുത്താൽ മതി. തുണി കെട്ടി 15 ദിവസം കഴിയുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ കെട്ടിയ ഭാഗത്ത്‌ കായ പൊട്ടി തുടങ്ങുന്നത് കാണാം.
